Money in the Bank went on file and there was certainly no shortage of twists. One of the big stars of the show was undoubtedly Theory, who has now established himself as one of the best performers on the entire roster. After losing to Bobby Lashley in the US title match, Austin redeemed himself in the Money in the Bank Ladder match by literally blowing the bank.
McDonough’s 34-year-old got the better of Seth Rollins, Riddle, Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, Madcap Moss, Omos and Sami Zayn, graduating from Mr. Money in the Bank and opening interesting scenarios for the future. Theory has received a big push in the past twelve months, taking off the whim of working with Vince McMahon himself.
Judging by tonight’s outcome, an even brighter future seems to await him. Speaking to Sportskeeda, wrestling expert Bill Apter commented on Theory’s performance at Money in the Bank.
“The match between Theory and Bobby Lashley was just fabulous.
Both showed their worth and the audience had a blast. I myself was glued to the chair because I was witnessing a very exciting battle. Lashley won, but Theory reiterated that he is one of the most crystalline talents on the WWE roster” – analyzed Bill Apter.
Attention then shifted to the main event: “After that painful defeat, Theory didn’t give up and ended the evening in style. The Money in the Bank Ladder match was also a spectacle. Nobody knew who he would have until Theory blew the bank.
I also want to congratulate Riddle for that splendid RKO with which he honored Randy Orton. What are the plans for Austin? I think he’s not ready to be the face of the company yet. It will take a long time to dethrone Roman Reigns, he is sitting on the throne right now”.
