Eric Bischoff Speaks About WWE… Possibly Going TV 14

Eric Bischoff, former WCW President and popular WWE personality, recently spoke about WWE possibly going TV 14. Many people believe that this is because AEW is slowly and steadily getting good ratings as they improve. According to Eric, that is not the case.

Eric appeared on the Strictly Business podcast, where the participant spoke about the possibility of WWE going TV 14. WWE is currently PG, which also means that they can’t organize extremely violent wrestling matches.

According to one of the podcast’s hosts, WWE is doing this to take wrestling fans away from AEW. According to Eric, AEW is not even close to beating the WWE in ratings.

According to various data, “Dynamite” the flagship AEW show averages 950,000 viewers this year. The show had around 891,810 viewers per episode in 2021. WWE on the other hand has two major shows called RAW and Smackdown.

Both of them average about 1.5 million viewers. Eric believes that people who think that AEW can compete with WWE are just delusional. Eric also believes that AEW fans are the ones who believe AEW will beat WWE one day. “It is what it is and WWE is not losing market share to AEW,” Bischoff continued, “so why would they react to something that’s not affecting them?” Vince McMahon, the WWE Chairman spoke about AEW in an interview in 2019.

He stated that TNT will not tolerate the “blood and guts” approach that is part of AEW programming. This caused AEW to actually have a match called Blood and Guts. This was inspired by War Games, which was a popular match format organized by WCW when it was still operating.
